Petrobras appoints new Directors

The new directors Supply, Jose Carlos Cosenza, and Engineering, Technology and Materials, Richard Olm, participated on the morning of last Tuesday, which celebrated event, alongside the president of Petrobras, Maria Smith Foster, the choice of the newest members of the Executive Board.

Held in the Company’s headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, the event was also the involvement of the directors of Finance and Investor Relations, Almir Barbassa, Exploration and Production, Jose Miranda Formigli Son, Gas and Energy, José Alcides Martins Santoro, the executive manager Jose Carlos Amigo, representative director of the International Area, Jorge Luiz Zelada, the presidents of Petrobras Distribuidora, José Lima de Andrade Neto, Petrobras Biofuel, Miguel Rossetto, and Transpetro, Sergio Machado, as well as managers and technicians of the Company.

Career employees, trained in engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and with extensive experience as executives in the company, the new directors emphasized the challenge of the job.

Richard Olm, former General Manager of Exploration and Production (E & P) of Bahia, former director of Gaspetro and most recently, executive manager of E & P, said the entry into the Company. “When I started at Petrobras, the company seemed enormous. I appreciate the trust with a commitment to increasingly contribute to overcoming the challenges that mark the trajectory of Petrobras, “said Director of Engineering, Technology and Materials.

Jose Carlos Cosenza was general manager of President Getulio Vargas Refinery (Repar), Parana, and Paulínia (Replan) in Sao Paulo. Before assuming the directorship of Supply, was executive manager of Refining. “I hope to contribute to the improvement of the company always striving for integration between areas and productivity, with respect to the environment. I was heartened by the indication for the position and I have no doubt that all that was accomplished today with the invaluable help of my colleagues,” said the director.

The President of Grace Maria Silva Foster stressed the difficulty of choice. “It’s very difficult to give names to replace Renato colleagues ones like Duke and Paulo Roberto. I follow the spectacular work of Cosenza, who has many virtues, many of them intangible, and that was what defined his choice, “said the president. “Richard Olm is a firm and skillful person, who has virtues which are not included in the curriculum, as the experience that explains his talent.”
