Copenhagen, Denmark | – Eni Ghana Exploration and Production Ltd has contracted the newbuild drillship Maersk Voyager to drill in the offshore Cape Three Points project offshore Ghana starting in July 2015.
The $545-million contract is for 3.5 years with an option to extend an additional year.
Maersk Voyager is the last in a series of four ultra-deepwater drillships in Maersk Drilling’s rig fleet. The rig was delivered in February from the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in Geoje-Si, South Korea.
