Our client is currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team in London. They are a major subsea installation contractor and offer a huge number of career opportunities that develop from this position.

The ideal candidate should have a relevant subsea background and experience in either sales or business development. It would be of huge benefit to have previously worked up to a level of Project Manager or Lead Engineer in activities related to subsea construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for all marketing and sales reporting requirements as are defined from time to time by local and Corporate Management.

Formulation of marketing and sales strategies and budgets within the framework of the overall business plans such that the forecast level of profit is delivered.

Devising innovative marketing strategies and responses to invitations to tender and pre-qualifications in conjunction with the Commercial Management Team.

Strengthening of relationships with new and existing clients and maximising the level of enquiries and business opportunities that can be gained from these relationships.

Contributing to the identification and of strategic alliances / partnerships from which the Company can achieve profitable participation.

Preparation and maintenance, in Company format, of annual budgets including department overheads / SG & A.

Ensure that the Finance Department are provided with adequate financial information to enable correct and accurate preparation of budget.

Responsible for: initiating actions to prevent non-conforming condition or product; initiating, recommending or providing solutions to non-conformances; verifying the implementation or corrective action and ensuring these have been effective and controlling further work until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected and the root cause resolved.

Report any unusual levels of absenteeism to the Human Resources Department as well as any behaviour not in line with Company standards.

To become familiar with and to maintain awareness of my client’s current requirements and where applicable, the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations.

To ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with my Client’s policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with my Client’s specific procedures.

To ensure his/ her own safety and that of others is not compromised or placed at risk.
