Job Description  

We are currently working with a leading Oil & Gas Operator with assets in Africa who due to continuous growth and development is seeking an experienced Drilling & Completions Manager to work a 28/28 rotation in Central Africa.

As Drilling & Completions Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategy and solutions for drilling and completions issues/operations to ensure the efficient operations of the company’s drilling systems. Working closely with the well-planning team to achieve objectives, you will travel between office and wellsite locations to review and approve drilling/completions operations as well as engineering programs. You will be responsible for supervising the planning and execution of company drilling / completions operations whilst always managing costs and monitoring all contractors’ performance. In this role you will be fully accountable for all budgeted costs and activities, directing and managing the allocation of drilling and completions budget and resources across assets in line with the set requirements. You will look to improve operational performance through setting target levels and monitor/record all parts of the operations to compare against. Providing leadership and strategy for contracts, tenders and negotiations with drilling contractors and associated service providers is essential to this role as well as providing leadership and communication to develop and maintain relationships with these companies as well as state authorities and local operators.

Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree In Engineering or equivalent

20+ years of Drilling & Completions experience

International experience preferably in Africa or Middle East

Extensive drilling onshore exploration with previous experience in workovers and completions

Proven ability to start-up and carry out operations in remote locations with difficult conditions

Strong leadership and communication skills to build, maintain, lead and be the principle player within an aggressive, multi-cultural drilling team.

Our client offers a highly competitive salary of up to $200,000 per annum D.OE. The position Is working a 28/28 rotation with the client providing business class flights, accommodation, bonus, per diem, stock options and family medical.
