Sudanese oil minister lauds partnership with Malaysia’s Petronas

Khartoum, Sudan | –  Sudan’s Minister of Oil and Gas, Dr Mohamed Awad Zayid, has held discussions here with two senior officials from the Malaysian national oil corporation, Petronas, and reviewed with them the company’s operations in Sudan.

The Minister lauded the Malaysian company’s partnership with Sudan in the oil sector during his meeting with the two officials at his office here Tuesday. The two Petronas officials are on a visit to the country to follow up on its business at its regional headquarters in Sudan.

The meeting discussed aspects of co-operation between the Ministry of Oil and Gas and Petronas, which has been operating in Sudan in several oil blocks.

The Malaysian delegation expressed pleasures for the great co-operation between Sudan and Malaysia in the oil sector, and hoped for more exchanges of benefits and experiences between the two sides in the field of oil and gas.
