Algiers, Algeria | –  Algeria’s foreign exchange reserves fell $35 billion in 2015 to $143 billion because of the drop in global oil prices, an IMF representative said on Monday. Energy earnings, which make up 95 percent of Algeria’s exports and 60 percent of the budget, plunged 41 percent to $35.72 billion last year, and officials expect them to fall to $26.4 billion this year.
