Subsea Nations & Africa Oil/Gas Investment Forum
May 1, 2017
“The Future of Subsea Technology in Offshore Africa and Growing Local Markets”
Currently, about 70% of global oil are produced onshore, while about 25% are produced offshore and the rest subsea. Industry experts and analysts believe the deepwater and offshore fields are under exploited especially in West Africa where the next wave of boom is been expected. A rebound oil and gas market would usher a great surge in subsea, deepwater and offshore activities by 2019.
With ageing wells in most of the onshore fields, geopolitical and community unrest and eagerness to explore deeper amid recent humongous discoveries in offshore West Africa, the region would soon become a beehive of subsea activities.
This is a 1 day lunch event that brings West Africa producing nations together with industry experts, offshore and deep water focused groups, scientists, technology and equipment manufacturers, investors, banks and government senior officials to gain insight and share knowledge on how to develop the region’s subsea assets and enhance technology utilizations for project optimization.
It also provides forum for unlocking the region’s technology and human capital potentials in subsea engineering and how to grow the local market for raising capital. It elaborately presents a cozy platform for high level networking.
