Houston – Allied Energy Plc and US independent Camac Energy Inc., are drilling the Oyo-7 well on OML 120 offshore Nigeria toward its Miocene secondary objective after having encountered oil and gas in the currently producing Pliocene reservoir.
Oyo-7 exceeded predrill expectations when it encountered 115 ft of net oil pay and 93 ft of net gas pay in Pliocene, topped at 5,564 ft, with excellent reservoir quality. The gas column was smaller than expected, Camac Energy said. Planned total depth is 8,038 ft.
